I love to use the Internet such as FACEBOOK, YOUTUBE very much and I would like to take some course which is about all these things. Luckily, I have chance to participant in this course and learn some things about new literacies for the information age. In fact, this course is full of fun and I find it interesting because there are a lot of examples in the lecture and thus we can easily find them in the world. Although this course comes to almost the end, I will read more books about it in the forthcoming future. I am thankful to help of my classmates like, ALEX, SEA and so on because I am a stupid student. If they do not help me, I think I must fail in this course.

As mentioned above, I spend a lot of time surf the net such as MSN Messager. I am still curious about why there is such a large difference between online culture and real world cultre. And some people get different personalities when they are chatting with friend through Internet. For instance, some like to pretend to be single but they already have girl friends.Anyway, I have great interest on this topics.
Being a teenager, my friend and I always send SMS or WHATSAPP to each other. So, I am familiar with the short form of text like SUS( See you soon) or icon (:D) . After attending the lecture, I found that I knew little about the online culutre in the past. From now on, I can start to use them to express my opinion and I am able to read my friend's text. :P
My favourite sample post is about Multi-tasking since I am reall that type of person. Just take me as an example. I am now blogging and I am listening to my favourite song at the same time. That represent my personality.
Finally, I would like to say "thank you" to Professor CHRIS. You really teach me a lot and you are good at teaching. I enjoy attending your lecture and I hope that I can attend your other lecture soon.~~~~~

Online culture and communication
In the past, I used to distingish real life an virtual life easily when I am a primary student. However, when I am a university student, I find difficulty distingish them because I spend a lot of time using computer rather than talking with people. In real life, I am JACK but in virtual life, I can John, Jackson, Eva and so on. There are numerous identities in virtual life.
Also, there are a lot of online platform such as facebook, linkedIn that we can use. We can find different cultures in the different platforms. For instances, in facebook, I feel relaxed and I share many interesting things with my friends while in linkedIn, I look for professional comments which are related to career. Undoubtedly, different cultures in different platforms are quite similiar to different cultures around the world. Which culture do you like most?
By the way, texting, instant messager, e-mail are commonly found. Which one do you like? In fact, I like texting very much because it is easy to use and convenient to chat with my friend immediately. Additionally, I like writting letter since seeing hand writing of different people reflects their personalities although there are few people who write letter nowadays.

Week 6~Multi-tasking~
Do you like multi-tasking? I like it very much because undoubtedly it saves my time and I can do a lot of things at the same time. For instances, I would like to chat with different people, watch TV programmes and even make phone calls to my boss. Have you ever tried this before? I guess most of you have.
Actually, someone may think that I am crazy but it is my opinion that doing a lot of things concurrently can help develop ability to deal with different problems in company. As we all know, workload of most jobs increase a lot, for examples, a teacher not only teach students, but also launch a wide variety of events in secondary school. The employers want employees to have skill of multi-tasking.Do you agree with me?
Finally, there are some disadvantages of multi-tasking. Take me as an example. If I chat with many people meanwhile, I will often forget what I have just said. And this always annoys my friends. Also, owing to multi-tasking, I find difficulty concentrate on doing one thing. I need to listen to music when I work. Do you have same experience as me?

Reflections of lecture on Week 4
Hello~!
The main content of lecture is about visual design on websites (e,g bottom-top, left-right) , the difference between the traditional reading materials ( book, newspaper) and modern watching materials ( video, animation). Do you like the traditional one or just the modern one?
I like both. In fact, it is very difficult to say which one is better than another. For me, I am inspired when I am reading books like little women and 1984~because I can image all scenes by myself. But it is sometimes a little bit boring.
When I am watching videos, I am execited due to a lot of sound, visual effects. I received the idea from them directly and I rarely think of it by myself. In spite of the excitement created in videos, I will be exhausted if I watch a 3D movie for a long time.
Anyway, I like them both~ traditional and modern!!~ Which one do you like most~~?

This picture is quite related to the topics mentioned in today's lecture. From the picture, we can see that it contains small texts and simple layout. Therefore, we can understand the message easily and effectively.
It is so colourful that you will be attracted quickly, isn't it? Actually, do you understand what it is trying to tell? It is about the design of an light bulb. And the author describes it in five ways like safety, materials and so on. Due to its simple layout, you find it easy to read.
However, I think the texts are too small to read. If the texts can be enlarged, the design of this picture will be perfect. Do you agree with me?

Let's talk about my hobbies. I love watching movies with my friends all the time because everything can happen in them and that's very interesting. Despite the fact that I am a BBA student, I want to be a movie director in the forthcoming future and I hope to make friends with famous artists!!
Also, I like hiking very much. To be a city dweller, I hate smelling a lot of smoke emitted by numerous vechicles on roads everyday. I think that the smoke does affect my breath seriously. When I go hiking with my friends, I feel extremely relaxed as air is really clean and the view is marvellous there. Although it takes long time to hike, it is worthwhile.
